We are the ,
a group of people who live, work or study at UBC and the University Endowment Lands (UEL) and whose goal is safe
walking and cycling routes.
People

Jean-François Caron is the Vice-President of the AMS Bike Co-op at UBC,
a UEL resident and member of their Community Advisory Council,
and in his spare time he works on a PhD in experimental particle physics. He is
particularly interested in systemic approaches to sustainability, of which urban cycling is an essential part.

David Grigg is a professional engineer and planner, formerly with UBC Campus and Community Planning until 2011.
He is a Co Chair of the
Arbutus Greenway Improvements Society.

Jeff Leigh is Co Chair of the Vancouver UBC Committee of HUB, Your Cycling Connection.
HUB Cycling works to make cycling better through education, action and events.

Kay Teschke is Professor in the UBC School of Population and Public Health. She leads a program of
research, Cycling in Cities, that investigates what types of routes motivate vs. deter cycling and which
types increase vs. decrease injury risk.

Jens von Bergmann is a UNA resident on campus, cyclist, pedestrian, driver. He is a father of a kindergardener
and especially concerned with cycling and walking safety of children.

Antje Wahl lives on the North Shore but works and studies on UBC campus. After trying all possible
transportation modes to UBC, except boating, she settled on ebiking as the most predictable and fun way to
get to UBC. Antje is on the HUB North Shore Committee.

UHill Elementary

Angela Low works and studies at UBC, lives in Acadia Park, and is part of a group of families that bike with
their kids to school daily, and for all these reasons is very invested in the safety and connectedness of this
campus community.
